You may schedule a counseling session in two ways:
Contact our office via telephone at __________. If you receive our voicemail, please leave a message and your call will be returned within 24 business hours.
Access our Patient Portal to request a session based on availability. Though your session time will need to be verified by the therapist, this provides you with the ability to propose a time that works best for you.

During your initial consultation, the therapist will ask questions to gain a general understanding of the issues you are facing. Also, this will provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapeutic process and about your therapist so that you and your therapist can determine the best fit for you.
Please note that we do provide referrals if you or the therapist would recommend a better fit for you.
-
During the intake session, your therapist will complete a comprehensive assessment that will include your history, your reasons for seeking therapy, and your goals in therapy.
During this session, you and your therapist will also discuss whether they are a good fit to help you address the issues you are facing. They will also determine which approach works best for your needs as you move toward healing.
Please plan for approximately 90-minutes for this session.

As with the issues you face, therapy is an individual journey. Some issues require long-term therapy, while others may show results with short-term therapy. This largely depends on the rate at which you move forward in your healing process.
As this is an individual journey, you and your therapist will discuss the duration of your sessions during your intake, as well as throughout the process.
-
You and your therapist will work together to determine which length of session works best for you. Typically, our sessions are between 45 and 60 minutes each, with the exception of the intake session, as stated above.
-
